At Scene and Herd in the Mudgee region we believe that lasting change and growth develops through a combination of feeling, thinking and doing in the context of safe and trusting connections to others. Together with our equine friends we invite you to join us on a journey of discovery, growth and expansion.

Set in the beautiful Sofala Hills just 45 minutes from Mudgee, 45 minutes from Bathurst and 3 hours from Sydney, you can experience the power and beauty of nature, get up close with our amazing horses and animals and really be ‘seen and heard.’

Here at Scene and Herd we provide a professional, safe and non judgemental space where you can explore the challenges you are currently facing and receive the support you need to achieve your goals and move into authentic relationship with yourself, your unique needs and the world.

Clinical Psychology and Other Services

Clinical Psychology

50 minute telehealth sessions attracting a medicare rebate if presenting with a GP mental health plan. 50 minute Equine Assisted Therapy session attracting a medicare rebate if clinically indicated.

Learning and therapy

50 minute individual sessions equine assisted learning or psychotherapy.

Coaching and Supervision

50 Minute Corporate Coaching in communication and leadership

100 minute small group sessions (up to 3 people) exploring leadership, communication and connection.

50 Minute Individual Supervision-AHPRA and APS accredited Supervisor

Our Team

At the moment Dr Nicole Clement will be delivering all sessions with the assistance cooperation and consent of our equine friend Lenny.

Nicole has been practising as a clinical psychologist for over 20 years, is AHPRA registered and a member of the Australian Psychological Society and the British Psychological Society. Nicole completed her clinical PhD at the Australian National university in 2008.

About the Sessions

The first and sometimes second session may occur close to the horses but will be information gathering and assessment and development of therapeutic and/or learning goals. Together we will agree on the aims of the therapeutic experiences ahead.

Subsequent sessions may involve interacting with the horses and/or building with objects. Each session evolves on the day, is dynamic, creative and co-designed together to meet your unique and important needs.

The sessions can help you grow in many ways including:

    • Slowing down and learning solid self regulation skills
    • Becoming more aware of self and other
    • Developing and strengthening boundaries in relationships
    • Improving communication
    • Improving leadership and confidence
